At fka, we offer both simulation models and their detailing or parameter identification.
Simulation tools are essential to design nowadays chassis in order to assist digital prototyping of the systems and the development of vehicle dynamics control systems.
Our team combines all competences needed for customized development and parameter identification for simple vehicle models in Matlab/Simulink up to complex multi-body simulation models including the integration of adjustable parts.
To identify all necessary parameters we use our extensive testing infrastructure, which is capable of identifying all component properties.
Thanks to our combination of simulation and testing expertise, our simulation models show a high level of reliability and validity. This approach is also explained in journals such as ATZ (Title: “Neue Methode zur effizienten Parametrierung von MKS-Fahrzeugmodellen“).
With the help of our extensive measuring technique and our experienced test drivers, we routinely validate our vehicle models based on self-conducted full vehicle tests.
Multi-body simulations with ADAMS/Car are used e.g.for:
- the evaluation of comfort characteristics
- the evaluation of vehicle dynamics
- the analysis and optimization of the wheel kinematics, or
- the determination of load data.
