PEGASUS delivers the standards for the automation of the future. With the PEGASUS joint project, promoted by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi), with PEGASUS key gaps in the field of testing will be concluded by the middle of 2019, up to the release of the highly-automated driving functions.

In the context of PEGASUS, fka is in charge of the development and implementation of the database of relevant scenarios, which enables the analysis and evaluation of traffic scenarios for highly automated driving functions with all relevant characteristics. To that end, the database is designed, implemented and operated on a long-term basis, as part of sub-project 3. Furthermore, interfaces to driving simulators, simulation tools as well as to the assessment and analysis of data from the field tests on public roads and real tests in sub-project 1 are implemented.
