Visitors at the fka booth experienced live how easy the interaction between driver and vehicle can be despite the complexity of automated functions. Within a driving simulator a new operating concept was presented, which integrates the increasing variety of assistance functions and the networking of the vehicle with its environment in only two driving modes, thus considerably simplifying the usage. The design is focused on the user, who, despite increasing technical complexity, should be able to interact safely and comfortably with the vehicle. The solution presented by fka is built on a close cooperation of different disciplines such as design, psychology, computer science and of course automotive engineering. Visitors were able to experience the innovative operating concept, automated driving functions and new interaction concepts live at the stand.
